Poster Contest Winners

Three of our students collaborated on a poster which was entered in a Human Trafficking Awareness poster contest, and they won 1st place! On Friday, January 10th, Mary Claire Amable, Lauren Hernandez and Tin Dinh were presented with an award at City Hall at an event kicking off Human Trafficking Awareness month. The poster project, using the theme “No One Owns Me,” was organized by art teacher Angie Crabtree. Lauren gave a speech explaining the work, and they were all interviewed by Channel 7 news, and a local radio station. Their winning poster, which was hand drawn and silkscreened, will be distributed to every school in San Francisco, and hung around the city. We are very proud of them. Congratulations!!
